Greetings,
I am excited that I have just finished The PC Easy Reader. I wrote this book for my wife
Sherry. As I was helping her understand her PC, two things dawned upon me.
Everything I had been explaining to her, I had been telling every other person I have
trained.
The basic questions were same regardless of the persons background or the way they
intended to use the computer. People may think of themselves as an idiot when it
comes to computers but they
are not. Nor were the people I trained dummies. They were all capable people who never
had someone explain simple computer concepts in a way they understood and empowered them
to use the PC. Instead they were led to believe it was their inadequacy rather than that
of the teacher.
This is a book dedicated to people who want to learn about Personal Computers but
dont want to spend weeks or months going through a 500 page manual and, quite
frankly, do not
believe they are a dummy or an idiot.
This book is an easy to read, interesting book that takes you from the outside of the
box, then describes the common components like hard drive, modems and memory. The book
then
discusses the operating systems and software that makes the hardware useful. Finally
you will be taken on a quick tour of the Internet with easy steps you can use to safely
get
online and enjoy it. Written in a plain english no jargon allowed format, The
Easy PC Reader
introduces a seemingly complex subject in easy to understand examples.
Do you know someone who would like to learn about PCs? Maybe you know someone
who just bought a PC. Help them out. Buy them The PC Easy Reader.
This book is a great gift idea!
