The Pbooster is a signal Booster and Buffer
between either the parallel port and the CNC controller or between the USB CNC
device and the CNC controller. It protects the USB CNC or the parallel port from
the CNC controller spikes and therefore, helps also protecting your computer
ports from these random signals. It comes with a USB connection for power. Has a DB25P-M input and a DB25P-F output.
It buffers and boosts signals coming out of the parallel port or USB controller into the
CNC controller and therefore forces hard EPP signal output. This prevents problems caused
by new parallel ports that deliver low amperage signals.
If you try to fix your controller and the
problem still persist then this board is also an amplifier for the outgoing
signals from your PC the the CNC controller and thus addresses weak outputs steps and
directions outputs from the parallel port with common problems such as single directional CNC move or steps misfire.
