Don't Ever Be Intimidated By Parameters Again!
Parameters inform the control about many
control functions. They actually marry the CNC control to the machine tool being
uses. One control model in a control manufacturer's product line, for example
can be applied to many different CNC machine tools built by different machine
tool companies. Though they are so very important, we find few CNC users who
understand their function and fewer still that know about the parameters that
affect the way CNC programs perform. There are many that affect DNC
transmissions, cycle time, initialized states, canned cycles, and compensation
functions that we contend all CNC users should know about!
This Mini-Vid will show the three parameter
types, taking the mystery out of those funny numbers that make little sense to
look at. It will then show methods of retaining a backup copy of your parameters
(something all CNC users should do in case of control failure). Finally, we'll
show about thirty parameters that will be of primary use to all CNC users. After
viewing this Mini-Vid, you will never be intimidated by your parameters again
